This is John Johns.

It turns out that Nick could not be with us today, he's at home sleeping.  That is ok with me though, cause I get to do his writer's craft assignment.  My name is John Johns and I hail from New York City.  This is a strange place for me to live since I cannot stand people.  I hate their idiotic nature towards everything and their ignorant and arrogant natures.  To tell you about my self, my parents died when I was 15 and was then on responsible for myself.  I had a simple childhood, I was an only child so I didn't have to share the world around me.  But, life wasn't always easy.  I remember sometimes having to move around, and I never made many friends, for the most part it was just my parents and I.  When we lived in Chicago, I made a lot of close friends, but then my parents died I ran.  I ran from the state, they were going to send me to a boarding school, which was where I didn't to end up.  So I ran, I ran so far that I made it to Chile.  While there I found education where ever I went.  I learned how to speak fluent Spanish, and learned an immense amount of history through the libraries and cities I went to.  I saw a great deal of poverty and went through it myself.  While in my travels I found jobs and kept them but, money was usually tight.  I met a man in my travels his name was Jimmy, he became my partner.  After all of my travels I realized that we have a great asset in North America, fresh, clean, drinking water.  I was always wasteful of this great natural resource, but during my travels I realized that I needed to inform people of how important water is.  I run an office that sends out information to people on how to conserve water to make sure that this resource never gets depleted.

55 Word Story.

You sit next to her in your classes.  You sit next to her in study hall.  You go out to lunch together.  She calls you at three in the morning just to talk.  Things are going well.  She leans in, you think she’s going to kiss you.  She whispers, “I love you...like a brother.”
